about
Sarah Stellar and BenCJones both had been out of the music business for a few years when their paths crossed back in January of 2010. The two wasted no time getting into the studio and recording their first two singles "What's Your Name" and "The World". This brand new band based out of Dallas TX has only one goal in mind; "Feel that groove"!
Born in Oklahoma City, Sarah’s passion for music started at the age of six when she began studying voice and classical piano. She started performing with the Oklahoma Kids in local music competitions, singing in church and was cast in South Pacific, the Sound of Music, and Oklahoma. When Sarah graduated High School she was presented with an opportunity in Nashville, TN but ended up parting ways with World Records after 6 months to pursue different opportunities. After moving to Dallas in 2003 Sarah began recording with local bands. She's currently the lead singer for The SUGARCRUSH as well as being involed with several other side projects as well.
BenCJones was born in Montgomery AL but was raised on the westside of Ft. Worth TX back in the 90's. At an early age he was interested in music. He's been involved with making music ever since from taking piano lessons with mom, the church's children choir, band in middle school (he played the trombone ha ha) to learning how to play guitar, drums and bass, and finally to writing and recording songs. Even though he hadn't been involved with a band the past few years BenCJones has continued to write songs and refine his sound. The end result, The SUGARCRUSH!
Recorded Feb 21, 2010 in Ft. Worth TX. "The World." is one of two "single" tracks being distrubuted by independent lable Sugar Crush Records.
